SVAC was founded in 1971 to provide a summer league swim team for
interested children who are members* of the Smallwood Village Swim
Club (SVSC) in Waldorf, MD in accordance with the stated purposes of
the Prince-Mont Swim League (PMSL).

The swim team has age-group swim competitions seven weeks in the Summer
starting in June continuing through July.
There are two to three championship meets and several team
events including parties, special meets and an end of season awards
family fun banquet. All
school-age children are eligible.
The SVAC Jr. Marlins is a special category of the SVAC Marlins swim team
normally for children between the ages of 4 and 6 who wish to
participate in an organized swim team program, but are not skilled
or strong enough to participate with the regular swim team.
All Swimmers receive a ribbon for every swim event!
Membership to the Smallwood Village Pool is open to all Southern
Maryland residents.
SVSC is a private swim club with a family atmosphere! Home of the ONLY
56ft waterslide in all of Charles County Maryland!

Congratulations to our Marlins swimmers who competed in the PMSL
All-Star Meet on July 31st. Many of our swimmers swam their
fastest times of the season at this meet. Thanks again to all
our coaches; Debbie, Lindsey, Josh, Ashley, and Kaitlyn for their
efforts this season.

We urge all of our
swimmers to consider swimming during the upcoming school year.
There are several options available. For year-round swimming,
there are 2 swim clubs that are located in the Southern MD area.
The Elite Rays Swim Club practices in Allentown, DC, and at
CSM. Coached by Coach Lindsey and Coach Elvin Foreman, Elite
Rays practices year-round and is available for swimmers of all skill

Potomac Raiders Swim Club practices year-round at CSM and is
available for swimmers of all skill levels. For more information

CSM offers several Swim Clinics for Competitive Swimmers in the

Elite Rays Swim Club will also be hosting a Swim Clinic at CSM
during their practice time from 5-7 pm every Saturday beginning in
September and ending in May. This clinic is for swimmers of
all skill levels who want to improve and/or maintain technique.
